Images from the Ballina Salmon Run sprint distance triathlon. Competitors took on a 750m swim down the famous fishing river Moy, followed by a 20km cycle out to Killala, finishing off with a 5km run. First male home was Ballina native and past winner Eamon McAndrew, followed closely by Peter Tuohy and Eamonn Staunton. Liquid Motion's Lorraine Carey was the clear female winner having several minutes advantage on 2nd place Christine Russell. Gill Edmonson completed the podium taking 3rd place, less than 30 seconds behind Christine. Full results by www.coretiming.ie can be found here:
